1St Grade.....

Hello Friends and Family! Well we have had quite a busy summer like most. Now that school is back in session I have a bit more free time in the mornings to blog! We enjoyed the summer with picnics, a trip to the zoo, and remodeling our home. We are still poking away at the small things but hope to be completed by next weekend. Nick and his brother Nate aside of working, have started construction on the annual haunted house. They are excited to have yet another successful haunt. Mikayla is officially a big girl and is in 1st grade. They were right...time does fly! She has gained her independence, and is quite the social butterfly. She is truly enjoying school. Here is a pic of the first day at BAK....
Hope all is well, and everyone had a great summer. Now onto our favorite time of year..Fall!

She's 6..........

This year we had a small party on Mikayla's Birthday with her Grandparents. We had hotdogs per request of the Birthday Girl and cupcakes. She received many wonderful gifts. Thank you everyone!
The weekend before her Birthday we took her to Chuck E. Cheese and enjoyed pizza and games.

First day of School!

Here is the official "First Day of Kindergarden Photo!" She had a great first day, and was sooo excited to get to school. I woke her up at 6:45am and by 7am we had breakfast, and by 7:10 she was heading to the garage to leave...we still had 30 mins to kill!

After school we could tell she was tired and put in a long but good day(8-3:36). We then headed to Grandma and Grandpa's to help them install the new fridge, ate supper at Culver's, had bathtime, a book and then bed! Wow how the day went fast.
I am surly going to miss having my little girl around with me all day...what a change of pace. Yes, I did tear up as sat at the table today eating my lunch alone. They said they grow up fast....but I didn't believe them....
