Wow, what a night we had. About 9pm, I turned on the television to find that there is a lot of flooding going on where my mom lives. All of a sudden there was a break on the t.v that the dam above their house was a threat and could potentially break. I ran to the phone, and called mom to make sure she knew that she was to evacuate, and the phone and power lines where down. Probably just hers? So I called 7 people trying to find out if everything was okay, and whatnot. There was no phone service in that whole area! AHHHHH! I didn't know what to do, and I felt so helpless. Finally I called a friend of mine, and she told me that her parents where just down to moms and she is fine, and the dam is still in tact. Thank you Lord! I did little prayers in between each phone call, and it payed off. So it helped to get a little relief anyway.

This afternoon I finally recieved a phone call from mom. She had no tv or phone service, so she had no idea that she should be evacuating. I couldn't believe that she was not contacted somehow and told she needed to leave, especially when the dam is on their land! But she informed me that she felt safe in the house. She said the water was unreal, like Niagra Falls with chocolate milk she said. This is their 2nd big flood now. Lots of cleanup to do I'm sure!

Mikayla and I made grahm cracker cookies today....she pulled them apart and licked all the frosting out. Then she said "sticky hands....sticky hands!"
