Well, last weekend our camera took a digger, now it won't even take a photo. For the price we could have sent it in to the makers, we could buy a new one. So our blog is going to consist of letters until I get a new camera! Sorry! Hopefully Santa will come early, or it's going to be a long wait!
So last weekend we had a fantastic turn out, and beautiful weather at my mom's house for the woodcutting bee, as mom called it. It was astounding to see the all the different cultures coming together to help someone in need. Everyone had a blast. About 50 friends, neighbors and relatives showed up to help. I had to work that day, and by the time I got there, there was a woodpile about 4 car lengths long, and at least 6 feet tall. It brought tears to my eyes. There were groups of men and women all over the farm, sweating, laughing, and having a great time. They worked 9-5pm and piled enough wood for two winters, all in a days work. It was unreal to watch everyone. I had to get in on it when I got there. They did save a few truckloads for me, so I too could feel the goodness.
Sunday morning everyone was moving a bit slower than the day before, but it was a good kind of sore, knowing a good deed had been done.
